Well-bred, healthy, structurally sound, home-raised Moyen Poodles with outstanding temperaments is what Magenta Bay Poodles is about. My moyen poodle puppies are from moms (dams) who are therapy dogs, support dogs, obedience class demo dogs, and always super sound in body and mind. I chose dads (sires) based on equally good health, mental soundness, and who have the temperament I’m trying to pass on to my pups.  My 30 years of experience as a professional dog trainer ensures that pups are brought up with the best start and every advantage in housetraining, obedience training, and socialization. I do all I can to assure that you have a confident pup who isn’t worried about any aspect of life. I’m super supportive and available to you as you raise your pup and throughout his/her lifetime as well!

The very small size of my breeding program guarantees that all my puppies get a huge amount of attention, love, and enrichment right from the start. The way I “match” also ensures that you’ll end up with a puppy whose temperament matches what you and your family need. I raise my puppies in the center of my home – NO kennels or kennel dogs here. My dogs and puppies are beloved family members who live underfoot and pups are very accustomed to all normal household noises and activities. Parents are health-tested to make sure any worrying issues common in the breed aren’t passed on to pups. Temperament-wise, I breed only the best of the best. And yes, I proudly raise pups using a mix of Puppy Culture, some BAB techniques, and importantly: all of what my 30+ years of professional dog training has taught me that puppies need in order to grow up happy and confident.

I think moyen poodles are the perfect dogs. (Yes, I’m biased!) They’re poodles (so they are versatile, super smart, comical, loving, intuitive, playful etc etc etc!) in a perfectly sized package. At 20-35 pounds, they are big enough to feel like a “big” dog, yet small enough to be completely portable if necessary. They fit snug little places like your passenger seat (or your lap) too, if you’d like.

A note: I am one of the few breeders who don’t dock tails or remove dewclaws. All of my pups stay fully natural and keep their dewclaws and their gorgeous, natural tail. I feel strongly that there is no acceptable reason to dock (cut) a poodle’s tail or to remove their dewclaws. Both are amputations that are cosmetic only. I won’t put my pups through it.
